Do child anchor points need a mod plate in QLD?

Adding a child restraint anchorage that wasn't fitted at the factory is a code LK6 modification and must be certified by a Queensland approved person, who issues a mod plate.

Can you fit child anchor points to a ute or van?

Often, yes. It depends on the body structure and seating. We inspect the vehicle and confirm a compliant anchorage location before quoting.

How long does child anchor point installation take?

Most installations are finished in a single visit. We confirm timing when you book.

Do you also fit the child seat?

Our focus is installing and certifying the anchorage point. See our child restraint fitting guide for tips on fitting the seat correctly.

Child Anchor Point Installation — Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay & North Brisbane

Need child anchor points fitted? We install certified child restraint anchorages for families across the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and North Brisbane.

Older vehicles, utes, vans and converted vehicles often lack the anchorage points a modern child seat needs. When an extra anchor point is added in Queensland it is certified under code LK6 and recorded on a mod plate.

Our workshop is at 252 Coonowrin Rd, Glass House Mountains — right off the Bruce Highway between the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay.
